Bulk Trash Pick Up

The East Haven Department of Public Service announces the Town's annual Bulk

Special Condo Pickup Dates
• Saturday, November 15, 2025 - Bulk only
• Saturday, November 22, 2025 - Metal only
 

We ask residents to review the guidelines carefully and place items  on the lawn area to the right of the dumpster building no earlier than 5 days prior to pick up and no later than 6am the day of.

Program Guidelines

To ensure we follow State guidance and to ensure efficiency, the following rules apply:
Bulk pickup is not designed to accommodate the disposal of an entire household.

Unacceptable Items:
• Hazardous waste
• Remodeling, roofing, construction, and demolition debris
• Plumbing fixtures, sinks, and pipes
• Vehicle parts, lawnmowers, and other gas-powered equipment
• Branches, grass, leaves, tree stumps, brush, rocks, sand, and dirt
• Propane tanks
• Pool covers
Recyclables (cans, bottles, paper, plastics, cardboard, etc.) - these should go in weekly blue bins
 

Acceptable Items:
• Mattresses and box springs (one each per household)
• Furniture
• Rugs
• Household appliances: washers, dryers, air conditioners, stoves, refrigerators (doors must be removed)
• Freezers, toasters, lamps, microwaves
• Iron goods and other metal items
• Computers and televisions
